• Videos on Synthetic Data

New videos on simulations of synthetic datasets show the role of different noise parameters. The simulation objective is to reproduce a reference dataset by playing with combinations of the parameters.

  • Example of googleVis charts on Iris Dataset

The data analysis is done with my favorite language R. What is the shortest way to share nice (interactive?) graphics on the web? Here is an example of using Google Visualization API with R package googleVis. The dataset comes from the famous iris data.

R function gvisTable creates a table of the iris data (the first five samples).

  • Help Pages for R package ‘moth’

The package ‘moth’ contains routine on processing the data on the robot navigation.

The help pages are published here: http://neurochem.sisbio.recerca.upc.edu/public/moth/html/00Index.html.

  • Help Pages for R package ‘chemosensors’

How to generate synthetic sensor data with the R package ‘chemosensors’?

Now this is documented with a set of HTML help pages: http://neurochem.sisbio.recerca.upc.edu/public/chemosensors/html/00Index.html.

The user can find description of classes, methods and datasets coming with the package. Code examples are presented for the most important entires.

  • Figures of the UNIMAN and Synthetic Datasets

The images come from the article submitted to the ISOEN 2011 conference.

Figure 1: Scoreplot of the Principal Component Analysis (PCA) performed on the first 1500 samples from the experimental dataset of 17 polymeric sensors. Steady-state features were extracted and preprocessed to remove outliers. The covariance structure for classes with the highest concentration is depicted with the confidence ellipses.

  • NEUROChem robot video

The video clip shows the demonstration of the Neurochem robotic platform performed at the UPF laboratory on November 2010. The embedded computer designed at UPC drives the mobile platform, runs the control software IQR and hosts different sensors, including the array of 16 MOX chemical sensors that percepts some alcohol.

The demo was prepared for the 2nd review meeting in Brussels, on February 2010.
